The Power Electronics Systems Group is part of the Electronic Technology Department of the University Carlos III in Madrid (GSEP-UC3M). It has presented a new algorithm for maximum power point tracking of a photovoltaic generator on the 21st European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference, 4-8 September 2006, in Dresden, Germany. A prototype converter was built to demonstrate the algorithm, using 3 Ferroxcube IICs.
