Power ConversionFerroxcube provides optimal materials for different operating conditions. Working temperature, flux and frequency are the key parameters to select the proper material: from standard 100 deg C to 60 in handheld converters or 140 in automotive, or even wide range 20 to 100 or 60 to 140. Converters operate at a wide switching frequency range, depending on the voltage, power and cost constraints: for each range Ferroxcube offers specific materials working from just a few kHz (inverters, high voltage systems) to tens of kHz (consumer and computer SMPS), hundreds of kHz (high efficiency, compact converters) and even MHz.
Ferroxcube materials contribute to improve the efficiency of the converter by decreasing the losses on the magnetic components leading to cost competitive smaller cores.
